学生VISAで違法に働いている人ってまだいるのかな？
先日、トーランスの日本食レストランの男性店長さんが普通に、「僕、学生なので日本に中々帰れない」ってお客に話してて、おいおいそれ言っちゃう？って思った。

場所によっては時給分もキャッシュで払ってる所がある訳だが、その場合でも学生さんは律義に税金申告してるんですかねぇ？

会社が払ってるケースもあると思います。ほかには偽造のSSNを取らせて、自分たちに責任がなくて騙されたんだというスタンスのお店もあります。他には、IRSとイミグレーションはデータベースを連携していないので学生でSSNを持ってる人がそのSSNを使って不法就労は可能です。この場合は脱税をしない限りはお咎めなしだと思います。IRSはあくまで脱税という自分たちの管轄のことしかしないので、不法就労を捕えたりはしないですね。なので、学生でも普通に税金を払ってる人はいますし、不法滞在でも過去のSSNで税金を払っている人もいると思います。日系企業や人の使い方もひどいですし、法律的にも問題がある所が多いので、アメリカ人を雇えないところもたくさんあると思います、お金を抑えたいオーナーとお金が欲しい学生の利害が一致するんだと思います。
