Reativate a Claim Application]

Information was shared by a person waiting for the official announcement of the PEUC 11 week extension guidance, and I am reposting what I announced in another topic, just in case.

The UI Office is encouraging people to file a Claim Certification every week. However, once the Benefit Year End expires or the account balance runs out, you may or may not be able to apply for File a Claim Certification each week.

If you are unable to do so, please be sure to select the reason for "Untimely or non-filing claim certification" on the Reactivate a Claim application when you are able to do so again after completing the PEUC 11-week extension application and then SUBMIT the application. Then, the next day, file a File a Claim Certification application for the week past the due date.

If you apply for File a Claim Certification without following this procedure, you will be stuck in the system and will be in a long pending status. Moreover, only an Examiner, not a call center, can fix it.

[About the cancellation form]

If you want to cancel a PEUC or EB20 that you have already applied for, you need to submit this form along with a letter explaining the circumstances.

I applied for EB20 just before President Trump signed the Applicants who wanted to wait for the PEUC 11-week extension guidance used the above form.

From the form, it appears that if you have applied for EB20 and have already received your EB20 award, your request has a lower chance of being approved, so we recommend that you submit your request as soon as possible before receiving your award.

For those of you who had a zero PEUC balance but did not apply for EB20, has there been any progress since then?

After I applied for EB20 on December 21, I read this forum and I am worried that I have been premature.

If my PEUC balance is zero, and my PEUC will be continued until March, I will follow #4 to cancel my EB20 application.

Thank you for starting a new thread for clarity.
Also, the "PEUC 13 week extension program" topic helped me a lot.
And thanks to all of you for sharpening the information.

As for my husband's case
the week of 12/5 was the last week of UI receipt.

12/9 ： PEUC application → then approved smoothly.

12/20 ： File for 2 weeks 12/12 and 12/19 → Processed and credited.

I was concerned that the due date was 12/29, but
I also have balance for 11 weeks ・ ・ ・ and chose to extend PEUC 11 weeks this time.

When I logged in this morning, this claim has expired and my balance was gone.
I then contacted the UI office to explain the situation and ask what I should do now.
"You should be able to file for the week of 12/26. Please file it first. As for the new EXTENSION, we are waiting for information." He said.

Since I file by-weekly, I can't file for the week ending 12/26 until after 1/3,
and it already shows expired ？ I wondered if I could do it, but when I logged in as instructed
I logged in as you suggested and "Are you filing for the week ending 12/26/2020?" appeared and
I was able to file even though it had expired and my balance for 11 weeks was gone.

The UI office people are also waiting for information, so I will wait for a new announcement and
refer to your information sharing here
and do what I should do at that time.

I am the one who had a zero PEUC balance but did not apply for EB20. No progress, but the inquiry display has changed to
This claim has expired as of 12/29/2020. The amount paid, etc. that was shown until yesterday has disappeared. It seems that those who had remaining balance are now displayed in the same way.

The UI staff I spoke to on the phone yesterday was very vague, saying that they would not recommend the 11 week PEUC extension instead of the EB20, so we will not know until the official announcement if we will also be eligible for the PEUC extension. I suggest that you check again to see if you meet the requirements for EB20 and then consider withdrawing.

#6 Caroll, you have entered PEUC BIWEEKLY and are waiting to enter for 12/26 and 1/2.

Caroll, glad you were able to enter for the week of 12/26 first.
Someone posted on a local FB group that they were still BIWEEKLY but were able to enter first for 12/26 on Sunday, 12/27.
Some commenters speculated that it was a special measure since the PEUC deadline was 12/29.

If you have not yet entered the week of 12/26, I suggest you do so now. We do not know when you will not be able to do so.

You were able to file successfully despite the expiration date, according to The Second Stimulus Package statute, the PEUC 11 week extension is definitely granted if the PEUC account balance is still outstanding. I am guessing that if you keep up with your weekly filing, when the PEUC 11-week extension is introduced into the system, it will be restored to the original Benefit Year End display and the new balance will be added and eventually paid. I'm glad that the expiration date didn't complicate things in the system.
