こんにちは。
息子がカリフォルニアの大学に進学することになり、大学から健康保険のオファーがありました。
ただ、掛金が高いなと思ったこともあり、民間の保険と比較して決めようと考えているのですが、帰米者向けの保険に関する情報がなかなか見つけられません。
両親は日本在住です。
同じような状況の方々、どのように解決されたか教えていただけると幸いです。

＞クレジットカードの付帯する旅行者保険は、そのカードでの決まりにそっていればOKだと思います。
観光と留学、駐在は違いますよね。ですから留学の場合、その決まりにそっているかどうか質問しているのですが。
と言いますか、小浜ケアでアメリカ人は保険に入ることが義務付けられましたよね。海外の保険でもOKなんですか？
でしたら、アメリカの高い保険に入るより実家からの国民健康保険に入っていても良いということですね

もちろん、アメリカの健康保険に入る事は義務です、ですから、学校からの健康保険をお勧めしました。
海外旅行保険は、補足的な目的で合わせて加入してはと、お勧めしています。

息子さんは帰米学生とのことですから、ビザでの渡米ではなくアメリカ国籍なんですよね？
そうなると、海外旅行保険って適用されるんですかね？
