80年代に渡米して色々を経て現在に至ります。
子供もいませんので仕事を辞やめたらアメリカに住む理由はなく、あと5年から10年の間にリタイアしたら日本に帰ろうかと思うようになりました。と言っても日本に家族はいませんので、全くのひとりです。
まだ計画を立ててはいませんが、ネットでリサーチする範囲で思っているのは、日本の人口が100万以上の地方都市(札幌、仙台、京都、神戸、福岡など)が希望ですが、まだ具体的な情報を得るには至っていません。
実際にすでにリタイアをして帰国された方、同じ様に数年後にリタイアをして帰国を考えておられる方、こんな案もあり!とか自分だったらこうしたい!とかのご意見をお聞かせ下さい。おひとりでない方のご意見もOKです。
よろしくお願いします。

旅行で訪れる国々で楽しかったから将来住みたいな、の感気持ちは持たないほうが良い。
日本からアメリカに来た理由を考えてみては。
日本に里帰りでは楽しいが住むとなると里帰していたときの気分では住むのには厳しい。

老後を日本で過ごす場合、アパートや戸建てで一人で生活していくのか、それとも老人介護施設などの共同体で他のご老人と一緒に暮らしていくのかでずいぶん変わりますね。
日本でも自治体によって年金生活の老人でも住みやすい地区、そうでない地区と差があるらしいのですが、米国にいるとそういった情報にアクセスするのも難しい。グーグル検索しても胡散臭いアフェリエイトサイトばっかだし。
