Sunset, it has been a while, ladies and gentlemen.

I had been Pending for more than 25 weeks since the week of Oct. 3rd, but as of yesterday, my 13 weeks of PEUC was Processed.
I almost gave up and had hardly logged in to my account, so I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw it changed to "Process".

I called the call center once in February and was told to wait for a call because I had an Overpayment, but I have not received any call or letter about the Overpayment, and there is no indication that the Overpayment amount was deducted.

I received a call on another matter （ confirming Availability ） last weekend, but unfortunately I was unable to answer the phone and the number I was told to call back was one of the representative phones and as expected it was not connected. （ I emailed them to that effect. ）

How it got to Process without a phone call is a mystery, but I'm glad it got to Process for 13 weeks at least in a hurry.
This was an urgent progress report.

Sandy, it has been a long time.

I am sure you must have been really bummed out about the overly long Pending wait. The three possibilities are that there was an omission from the employer, that the UI office has now noticed the report from the employer, or that it was not Overpayment after all when we looked into it. If the Employer was not contacted by the Adjuster, the reason could be "I looked into it and it wasn't Overpayment after all".

Since you've been waiting this long, it doesn't add up unless you give us a good reason, I'll share Sandy's share with the Unemployment Insurance Help Team.

I contacted my employer last night, but I was not specifically told that I had heard from Adjuster, so I think it is a strong case that it was not Overpayment.

I wonder if I had to wait 6 months for nothing.
I have never been paid unemployment insurance on Timely since I Lay off last March ・ ・ ・. In a little over a year, I have only been Processed 6 times, in April, May, June, September, November, and April 2021. In other words, each time, Pending continues for many weeks, then Processed for many weeks at once, and so on.

It has been a long, long Pending at some point during the process, such as temporarily returning to work, being laid off again, or moving to PEUC.

Pending since October has been over 6 months and I had already half given up, so I was surprised to be suddenly Processed without a phone call or letter.

Sandy,

I think the fact that you have a sole proprietorship may have contributed to the lengthy delay. I have seen many cases of people with sole proprietorships, and in the overwhelming majority of cases, they have a hard time getting a smooth payment.

I am only guessing, but it may be that the UI office takes longer than usual to check the income of a sole proprietorship before granting it.
