I heard that and checked Amazon again and found that the original DJ Osmo's for smartphones start at around $120. I've seen famous VLoggers using DJ Osmo models that can also be used with SLR cameras, and they cost $400 or more. I had given up on that, thinking that it was more expensive than a camera. Also, the GoPro Hero 8 has a more advanced stabilizer called HyperSmooth 2.0, so I don't think I need the Gimbal. I also put everything in my backpack that I would pack in a travel bag, since I am going to be walking all day and all night.

I am therefore packing everything I carry in grams, so I am wondering what percentage of the effect the Gimbal will have on a camera with stabilizer. Also, I just checked and the

"DJI Osmo Mobile 3 Handheld Smartphone Foldable Gimbal Combo Kit" pack weighs 1.3Kg and the body alone must weigh over 400g. I'm thinking about it.

Well, here I come.
Surely Mr. Bikinman was a backpacker. ！
The GoPro8 can record continuously for about 2 hours, so I would like to have a spare battery.

I hope I can keep my brain flexible enough to use Hi-Tech forever after I retire like Mr. Baikinman.

I was smart enough to buy two spare batteries and a charger (sold separately) with this order, as the Third Party batteries are cheaper but do not last as long as the original ones.

Also, my current plan is to carry a 26000mAh charger battery with a cable attached, although it is heavier, as I want to be able to keep the camera on the chest strap of my backpack for hours of continuous shooting while walking.

My techie nature is originally from engineering, so my wasteful spending on that side will not be cured until I die. ^^;

The GoPro Hero 8 arrived at my house on UPS 2nd Day as scheduled.

I immediately opened the box and started setting up the camera. I thought the minimum memory was built in, so it would not work as it is. And my own SD card which I had before does not fit in the card because it is not compatible with the standard. I went to my local Best Buy and bought a 64GB micro SD card for the time being, as I wanted to check the operation immediately. I also ordered 256GB from Amazon.

When I started setting up the camera, it was very different from Japanese cameras and I was very confused. I don't understand the reason because it doesn't come with an instruction manual. I was trying to figure out what was going on, and when I was trying to figure it out, it asked me to put the GoPro app on my phone, so I did.

Especially if you mount the camera on top of a helmet, for example, where you can't see the monitor behind the camera, you can't monitor the image, so of course you have to use your phone.

This and other things make the use of the camera quite different from what it has been used for so far, so we will have to continue to learn.
