今NY福井県人会は25名程です。
今回の懇親会の参加者は10名弱です。
鯖江のメガネフレームメーカーさん等が参加されています。 アルマーニやグッチのメガネフレームも殆ど福井製だそうです。。。 LA福井県人会の発足を楽しみにしています。。。

25名も福井人が集まっていらっしゃるなんて、素晴らしい限りですね。
こちらLAも、同じ郷土人で情報交換・100%方言トークなど楽しめたらなぁなんて思ってます（笑）。
メガネフレームの件、私も周りのみんな（日本人、アメリカ人を含め）に説明するのですが、イマイチ信用されてないような気がします(苦笑）。
私の目標は、福井の持つ素晴らしい技術・芸術作などを、アメリカに紹介することです。福井を出て、初めて「福井の本当の素晴らしさ」に気付きました。漆器・刃物・和紙・メガネ産業など、一つ一つ周りの人に説明するたびに、「福井って実はすごく素晴らしい所なんじゃない？」とうらやましがられます。「日本一社長の多い県」とか「日本一過ごしやすい県」とか・・。福井とアメリカの、橋渡しが出来ればなぁ、と微力な自分ながら思ってます。
みなさん、頑張りましょ〜〜♪
