一年ぶりにTorranceのMitsuwaに行った。昼時なのでparking一杯かと心配しながら炎天下を避ける為地下駐車場に入ると何と!ガラガラ 地上のparkingもガラガラ なんかありました?

韓国系だった同じだし、中国系だって同じでも
日本人社会に比べてコミュニティーの大きさが違う。
韓国系、中国系もどんどん膨張している。
それに比べて日本人社会はどうなんでしょうか。
膨張しているんでしょうか。

大きくなってないと思う。それが本当に理由かもしれません。
でも私は何が理由かは言ってません。ただ、＃７０に書かれたことが理由なら、
それは違うんじゃないかと？と言いたかっただけで。

↑ 理由は言われなくてもそのような結果が現れてきているのでは。
韓国系のアメリカ人が団結して市議会議員に寄付、投票応援すれば
設置に反対する理由がないので賛成に回って慰安婦像が設置されてしまう。

韓国や中国は団結して発展しないとという理由があった。
政府に頼れない、一部の人が豊かに暮らせる中国。
親戚家族の団結は東南アジアもすごい。
レストランで5、6人家族ずれはフィリピン人とかが多い。
日本は個人でもやっていける国。
発展途上国ほどの必死さを持たなくても
やっていける国。
それに別にアメリカでビジネスを起こさなくても豊かな自国で暮らせるから。
その様な理由で日系社会は発展していない。

私はチャイニーズ系移民が多いコミュニティに住んでますが、彼らは市の政治にも積極的に参加してます。
City CounselやCity Officialになったり、投票日もボランティアで選挙手伝ってるし、
地域の病院でも大きく活躍してたりします。一世の移民たちがです、こっち生まれの人達は言うまでもない。
日系コミュニティと言われるGardenaやTorranceでも、そういう現象は起きてますか？
ジャパニーズアメリカンの日系人でなく、移民してきた日本人もそこまで地域に参加してますか？
