I will be staying at UC Berkeley for a year and am looking for a place to live alone.
I'm thinking of not only the Berkeley area, but also commuting by BART, so I'm considering places around El Cerrito del Norte, Lafayette, Walnut Creek, etc.
I'd love to know which areas are safe and recommended. I would appreciate it if you could tell me which areas are safe and which you would recommend. If you know of any unsafe streets, please let us know.

I know I can buy it at a Japanese supermarket, but I want to buy it as cheaply as possible because I want to make fried mochi, which is made by crushing mochi, drying it and frying it.
My friend wants to make it in a potluck at home and it will be quite a lot and the price is 😭
I tried to find something like Japanese cut rice cake in a Chinese supermarket but there is none, so I am wondering if that cut rice cake is something unique to Japan ？ ？ I am not sure.
I was expecting to be able to buy them cheaper in Chinese supermarkets.

We have a 3 year old daughter and would like to know about daycare centers, living environment, safety, etc.
Also, I would like to know about housing, such as apartments with many Japanese residents.

(I When I get angry, they tell me to control my feelings and not to get angry no matter what. But it's okay for my partner to be angry. Because I'm not able to do it.)

I have a very sweet Asian boyfriend, but I get the impression that he is not thinking about our future or becoming a family. I am not sure if I want to marry him or not due to our different values.
