The official filing deadline for the State of Hawaii is April 20.
However, the following explanation is provided regarding the filing date and time for the State of Hawaii.
The content is that there is no extension of April 20 as far as the official filing date is concerned, but
if the following two conditions are met, the filing due date
can be automatically extended until October 20.
Condition 1 is that you have a refund from the State of Hawaii
Condition 2 is that you have paid Estimated Tax
by April 20.
In other words, if the income tax return calculation results in a refund,
there is no outstanding tax owed to the state, the extension is automatically extended until October 20.
In addition, if you have paid Estimated Tax, your return can be extended
until October 20.
Simply put, this is the same thing every year, not just this year, and the state welcomes the extension of the
Refund because we are short on money. Even if you have more to pay, you can still file late as long as you pay more
taxes in advance.
