The whole of Shikoku is "non-electric" except for the streetcars in Kochi City. In other words, diesel cars run all over the country as shown in the first part of the URL ↑. Therefore, the whole of Shikoku feels like a "backwoods" area.

Another scene that makes you feel remote is that old houses and apartments all over Shikoku have "botton" or cistern type toilets, not flush toilets.

It's not an acceptance school like Punahou or Iolani.
You can get in with an application, a brief interview and some interviews.
