現在ロスに在住している40代、独身者ですが、ハワイ（オアフ島）とロス在住経験のある方に、それぞれに住んでみた利点、欠点など違いを教えて頂きたく投稿させて頂きました。
特に趣味はありませんが、平日は仕事、週末は海に出掛けたり、ショッピングに出掛けたりする程度です。
仕事、週末の過ごし方、現地アメリカ人の気質、日本人コミュニティー、衣食住（物価等含む）など生活環境について、教えて頂ければ幸いです。

LAとHonolulu、殆ど生活は同じです。確かに、物価は少々高いかな。でも、工夫次第ではLAと変わらないですよ。
2012年、LAからHonoluluへ引っ越しました。
Waikikiやその周りの家賃は少々高いです。Shareされる事をお勧めします。
Honoluluは、観光産業が中心です。僕も、観光関連の仕事をしてます。日本人Communityに関しては解らないです。僕はあまり、日本人Communityに接してないので。
時間の流れがゆっくり過ぎて、少々、苛立つことはあります。日系人やLocoはとってもわがままです。特に、Locoは自己中心です。日系人も、年を取ってる人ほど、自己中心です。
年中温暖ですが、夕方から翌朝に掛けて今の時期は、寒いです。日中は暑いですが。
ただ、Homelessが多いというより、目立ちます。
安全である事は確かですね。それだけはいえます。ただ、置き引き、スリは多いので、それだけは気おつける必要があります。車上あらしも、頻繁に起きてるようです。これも、きおつける必要があります。
Locoと仲良くするのも良い事です。

ご親切にご回答頂き有難うございます。
こちらのアメリカ人も基本、自己中でわがままな人が多いですが、
日系ハワイ人とローカルの方はそれ以上なんですね。
２０年以上前にハワイに１ヶ月ほど居ましたが、車上荒らしは相変わらず多いですね。
ハワイ在住の人には、ローカルディスカウントがあるという事を聞きましたが、具体的にはどういった物なのでしょうか?
ローカルディスカウントを貰う方法とどれ位安くなるのか教えて頂ければ幸いです。
