j visa This is in response to your question regarding the postdoc's tax return.

＞ 2018 ・ Since I am a non-resident in the US for 2019 and have been in the US since 2018,

, stating that this income is not subject to US-Japan' Tax Treaty Article 20
taxation. You should have filed a tax return in the U.S., explaining in writing that this income is exempt from taxation under Article 20 of the U.S. Japan's Tax Treaty.

Thus, two returns are made: one for income

I renewed at Kapalama last month.
The expiration date was the end of March and Aloha Q was only available in May, so I went there in the morning to see if I could get on the waiting list.
There was no announcement at the entrance that there was a waiting list, so I was about to leave when I was told by the man at the parking lot （ that there had been a charge for parking ・ ・ ・ ） that there was a waiting list and that I should sit at the front of the stone bench in front of the entrance. I waited there, and a little before 8:00 OPEN, an attendant came out, wrote my name on the waiting list, and I was able to renew my reservation successfully.
It seems that about a third of the people who book don't actually show up, so I waited out front and was able to wait on the waiting list.

I went to Kapolei last week to renew my license.

Alps Water uses RO filters, but it costs more than $200 to replace each filter element, and I think the monthly cost is reasonable if you include regular maintenance.
