I'm seeking advice from those experienced in Japanese Culture as to whether or not you would pursue a serious relationship with a 'bar girl'?
She is sweet and gentle, but I'm not sure if she is my girlfriend or I am just receiving a GFE (Girlfriend Experience) treatment. Your thoughts and comments greatly appreciated.

恋には色んな形があるから、彼女が好きなら構わないと思うけど。。
貢いだり、保証人になったりする関係なら考えた方がいいけど、付き合っていて幸せなら相手がどんな職業かなんて関係ないと思います、個人的に。将来を考えるにしても、真面目な相手だから幸せになれるとは限らないし。
先入観だけでその人の本質を決めつけるのはいかがなものかと。その子がどんな子か見極めるのは自分次第だし、相手次第で彼女の気持ちも変わると思います。

レントコントロールがない地域なら大家が勝手に決められます。
この手のトピ度々あがるけど、大家が決めなければ誰が決めるのよ？

市によってルールが変わってきますので1度調べるべきだと思います。たまに市では禁止されているにもかかわらずオーナーが勝手に大幅に値上げすることもあります。いくらまであげれるとルールのあるしもあれば、そういったルールが全くない地域もあるそうですよ。
もしオーナーが規則を守っていない場合は直接オーナーに話をするか裁判になるかと思います。

住んでいるアパートがどのようになるかチェックされてみては。

レントコントロールがあるアパートは安く抑えられますが、３年に１回の頻度で市の職員が家の中を土足で上がり込みくまなくインスペクションしにくるので嫌気がさして引越しました。

家の中に土足で上がってくる時は
テレビドラマでやっているシーンのように
靴カバーを用意してこれを使ってください、と渡すのもあります。

タイに長く暮らした日本人です。
タイでは少しの間タイ人に日本語を、日本では20年以上タイ語を教えてきました。
語学として学ぶ「タイ語」は長い時間がかかります。私は「タイ会話」として、しかも「発音記号メソッド」という方法で、30時間で一人旅や移住開始に必要なタイ語とタイの知識を教えてあげられます。
ただ、あまり時間はなく、お一人か3人までのグループを、空いてる時だけにしか教えられません。

タイに深くかかわってきた者として、間違った情報に惑わされず、あの微笑みを絶やさないタイの人々と心通わせていただきたいと願います。

トピ主です。こんにちは。
ミョウガの苗は時期的なものもあるようで毎年外してしまっていたんです。
先日久しぶりに見にいったら店じまいされてしまったようで行く当てもなくここに書き込みしました。
幸いなことに苗を分けてくださることとなりました。
通販も考えたのですが、カリフォルニア州には配送できなかったり、配送途中で茎などが折れたりしたことがあるので購入までに至りませんでした。
返信いただいたすべての人、フォローいただいた方々ありがとうございました。

茗荷は根を小さく切って広く植えて育てます。 苗ではなく、種でもないです。 根っこのきれっぱしを土においてその上からまた土をかぶせておくだけです。 食べるのは「花」です。 根っこ用の肥料は要りませんが花を咲かせるためのフードは必要です。 花は初夏にならないと芽が出ないです。 水は大量に要ります。 茗荷は冷凍できるので収穫したら保存して長くお楽しみください。

ミョウガはそれ自体にあまり味はなく Wiki でも言われているように「麺類や冷奴の薬味など香辛菜として利用される。そのほか、天ぷらや酢の物、味噌汁の具など、独立した食材としても用いられる」そうです。
私も味わったのは小学生の頃で、つまり戦後10年前後で、記憶に残っているのは「みょうがたけ」で形状は細ねぎのようで味はねぎのようなきついものではなかったです。通常は、Wiki の写真にあるような、大きく育ったぼってりとした花の部分を食べるそうです。

ということで、私はすでにこの場にあるなら懐かしさで食べたいが、なければ別に手間かけて手に入れようとは思いません。しかし日本にいるときこのミョウガを常に食べていた人は、手に入りにくいだけ、自分で育てでも食べたいでしょうね。
