僕は最近 CAのコミカレからTXの州立大学へ 夏セッションからトランスファー予定だったのですが、成績表などの書類が「来てない」「いや送ったはずだ！」などのイライラするメールのやり取りと時間のロスが発生し、結局I-20の発行が クラススタートのギリギリなってしまいました。 レジストの最終日にTXに到着しましたが オリエンテーションやカウンセリングを受ける時間も無く、レジストは無理と判断し、その場で入学を秋まで延期する手続きを取りました。
しかし、つい先日学校から連絡があり、僕が一旦I-20を受け取った事が問題でその申請が受け入れられず、夏にアプライしていながらクラスをとっていない事で ステイタスを失っているという報告を受けました。
僕としては、とりあえず秋のクラスにレジストして 夏にクラスが取れなかった理由と状況をINSに説明し、アメリカにいながらステイタスをReinstateする方法を考えています。
しかし、そこに問題があります。
一つは、以前いたコミカレの成績が良いとは言えないことと、一度クラスをドロップして12単位を満たさず学校から警告を受けた事があったことです。（ただ今の学校はそれを問題にせず入学を許可してくれました。）
２つ目、これが一番の問題ですが、僕は４年以上前に２，３ヶ月不法就労した記録がSSNに残っていることです。
テロ以降 INSとTaxオフィスがリンクして不法就労を厳しく取り締まっていると聞くのでとても心配です。
バカ留学生の個人的な事を長々と書いてしまいましたが この手のトラブルに詳しい方からのアドバイスが欲しくてトピを作ってしまいました。 どうかよろしくお願いします。
