Vivinavi Los Angeles満天の星・・砂漠に住みたい！

今はＬＡ市内に住んでいますが、せっかく広大な自然のあるＣＡ州に居るんだから、
一度、満天の星が見える場所に住んでみたいとかなり真剣に思っています。
憧れているのは、ジョシュアツリー国立公園付近ですが、
砂漠とか山とか、とにかく自然に囲まれた生活ができるならどこでも構いません。
辺鄙だけどステキな場所の情報を少しでも知っている方、ぜひ何でもいいので聞かせてください。
こんな場所に行った事があるとか、知り合いがこんなとこに住んでるとか、
そのような場所でのアパートの探し方とか・・とにかく何でもいいので情報が欲しいんです。
あまりにも人里から離れると郵便物が家まで届かないという問題などもあるそうですし、
インターネット（ＤＳＬ又はケーブル）は絶対に必要なので、
そうなると場所も限られちゃうかも知れませんが、もし何か情報あればよろしくお願いします！

みなさん、色々と情報をありがとうございます。
確かに、住むよりも前に、キャンプなどでその気分を味わうというのも手ですね〜！
田舎でも新興住宅地みたいな所はイヤなんですよ・・。
回りに何にもない〜！みたいな所に憧れてるんですが、やはり住むとなると
現実的にちょっと無理があるのかな・・・とちょっと弱気に。
インディアンコーブですか。ジョシュアツリーの中にあるんでしょうか？
ぜひ行ってみたいです！

１０フリーウェーをずーっと東に行ったパームスプリングスもかなり砂漠な感じを楽しめると思うのですが。新興住宅地っぽいからダメかしら？

行ったことはないんですが、Riversideで、I-15 から CA-79 - CA-371 へと内陸の方に入っていった所の Anzaっていう小さな街辺りには天文観測所が在るくらいで、星が綺麗みたいですよ。肉眼でMilky Way（天の川）が見えるそうです。

White River とも呼ぶようですが、天の川まで見れると言うのは感激ですよね。
小さい時に見たと思うのですが記憶がなかったので、ヨセミテでキャンプしたとき、最初はキャンプファイアの煙かと思っていたが凝視していると全然動かないので、あぁ、天の川だぁ、と叫びました。
やはりそれほどきれいな空気の環境に住みたいですよね。
