My gf circled "I don't understand English" and yet we were asked to serve on the jury.

So, on the appointed day, we went to the court and found that several times as many people as the jurors who would participate in the actual trial would be gathered, and we were taken to a large waiting room. After that, it seems that the presiding judge himself picks up the jurors from the list, and then a staff member comes to the waiting room and asks who and who not to come. My wife's English was terrible （ and her pronunciation was actually terrible ・ and her word order was bullshit ） and she exclaimed, "I don't understand any of the jargon used in court" and was told that she could go home.
