私のところは West Valley Time Warner ですが、確かにそんなような画面でしたよね。
あれは放送もとの VCR から家庭の TV までの間のどこかで輝度の調整が狂ったのでしょう。オフ・エア、つまり UHF の Ch.18 で見て正常だったなら、原因はケーブル会社でしょうね。当 Time Warner ではよくあのような現象が起きます。去年の１２月から TV Japan (Ch.609 on W.V.Time Warner) も購読（購視）しましたが、最初の頃は同じ現象でした。
ビデオ信号の輝度は真っ白が 100% 、真っ黒が 0% とすると、その間にバランスよく収まらなければならないのですが、調整を間違えると白の方に偏ったり、今回のように 20% あたりのグレーレベルが 0% みたいになってしまいます。
