We watched the American version of DVDs and TV at home, but our conversation was in Japanese.

One of my two daughters had to go to ESL because she was behind in English, but she gradually caught up and went to graduate school without any problems in English and is now working and employed.

The other daughter was very social and made many friends quickly and had no problems with her English.

She also attended a Japanese language school until early elementary school, but gave up halfway through due to the amount of homework she had to do and her academic ability that she could not keep up with.

Even so, I am glad I taught her Japanese because she has no problems with conversation and enjoys talking with her grandparents and cousins in Japan.

I still speak Japanese at home and my sisters also speak Japanese.

If you return to Japan and go back to Japanese school, it is necessary to focus on Japanese, but if you live in Japan permanently, it would be better if you can speak Japanese ？.

to say that if you assume you are going to return to Japan, you should use Japanese law.

Laws change so often that it is hard to say, but
100% custody is rare and usually 50%50%, and then it is difficult to return to Japan.

I got divorced more than 10 years ago, but
I was told by my lawyer that children born in the US were obligated to live in the US.

The financial aspect is fine.
If MM works, she can live on child support and government assistance.

I am also a divorcee with two children. I went to beauty school with my ex-husband a long time ago because I felt a gap in values between him and me.
