Vivinavi Los Angeles日本人らしい英語の間違い

長いアメリカ生活のなかで、いかにも日本人らしいオカシイ英語をたくさん見たり聞いたりしてきました。
ALOEをAROEだと思っている人や、BUD LIGHTをBUD RIGHT,SPRITEをSPLITE,MATERIALを
MATEREAL、と書く人など。
ドジャース・スタジアムや、ヤンキース・スタジアムなどと誤って認識している人も多いですね（笑）。
ドジャー・スタジアム、ヤンキー・スタジアムなのに・・・。
ROSECRANSをローズクランスと言う日本人もとても多いけど、正しくは”ローズクラン”です。最後のSは、読まないものなんです。
みなさんのそんな経験を聞かせてください。

そうですね。和製英語をそのまま使用するとトンチンカンな方向に進む事もままありました。
ナイーブという言葉では失敗談もありました。

Rの発音を意識するあまり、なにからなにまで巻き舌になってしまっている日本人が少なくないですよね。
あと、「make sureしといて」みたいなこと言われるとイラつきます。そんなこと言う人にかぎって英語がヘタ。仏教徒なのに「oh my god」なんて言う人も・・。

天才志村動物園で、秋田犬のブサ可愛いと言うワサオ(だったかな?)の飼い主のおばあちゃんが、「今日はドッグランドでワサオはデートだ」と言っていた。
ドッグランの事を、しっかりDogLandと勘違いしてるけど
何か言えてない事もないし、微笑ましい！
私も、この類の分野は得意(?)なので、あまり人のこと揶揄出来ませんが。

学生の時日本人の生徒がクラスメイトに一生懸命、お⚪︎にーという言葉を連呼していたが、相手には伝わらなかった。
ちなみにドイツ語らしいね。
