Vivinavi Los Angeles軽トラックのことで教えて下さい

友人（アメリカ人）が、日本の６６０ccのトラックの購入を考えています。
Ebayなどで、６０００ドル近くで中古のものが出てるのですけど、一度、ディーラーに何台かあったのを目撃しているらしいのです。
ただ、軽トラって、アメリカでStreet Legalなんでしょうかね?
最近、また、その軽トラを見かけたディーラーに行ってみたらしいんですけど、もう、無かったそうです。あれは、ディスプレイが目的だったのかな。。と言ってましたが。。
オフロードの改造軽トラってのは、結構、ウェブを探すとあったりするんですけどね。
軽トラを見かけたことのあるかた、情報等ください。よろしくお願いします。

車の右左であるメモリーがよみがえった。
パンテヒルズの6斜線ストリートで、赤信号待ちしていた。片側斜線の一番左に自分、右に斜線に他の車達。そしてなんと反対車線の外側斜線にアジアン人の女の子が自分と同じ方向で赤信号待ちをしていた。すかさず私たち斜線の多くのひとがその女の子に向かって「ブッブブー」の嵐。そのこはようやく気づき無事に進路を変えて出発したとさ。

まっ、ようは、交差点で信号を待っていたら、同方向レーンなのにこっちを向いて信号を待っているアジア人女性の車を見た、という話でしょ。
車線が斜線だと、さぞかし運転しにくかったでしょうに。
