Log in to your UI account by 5:30pm on February 5th It says I need to log into my UI account and click on "Extended Benefits Survey" and select EB20 or PEUC2 from there.
I used up my last PEUC on 12/26 and was told it would automatically renew to PEUC2.

The news here is the same as the official announcement linked in #298 shared by Temari Sushi: If you have used up your PEUC 13-week extension account balance after December 26 and have not applied for EB20 after that, you will automatically 11-week extension.

To those of you who applied for EB20 on Dec 29th
and wish to cancel

I have since discussed the 29th issue with the team responsible, and they have told me that the Examiner and call center will continue to be one sided with me, saying "it is a Federal Order" and will not comply. The Examiner and the call center will continue to insist that it is a Federal Order and they will not respond to my request. They said that there is a high possibility that the appeal application will not be approved either.

However, we are of the opinion that the Legal Aid organization may be able to point out to the UI office the systemic problems with the Benefit Year End deadline by Glitch. We still strongly recommend that you consult with the Legal Aid organization.

Dear Sunset, thank you all for your help.
I would like to share my situation.

12/27 Applied for final 12/26 PEUC; received payment 12/30.
1/2 Applied for EB20.
1/20 Wanted to cancel EB 20 applied for ＋ Wanted to switch to PEUC 2 （ Emailed UI office ）
1/21 UI office replied
（ As the EB 20 has not However, the PEUC 2 has not been implemented yet. Should take an additional 1-2 weeks. ）
2 /1 When you click on "Extended Benefits Survey" on the UI site, you get the message "This selection does not apply to you.
The same day, I sent an email to the UI office asking "Does this mean I don't have to answer this Survey ？?
2/2 When clicking on "Extended Benefits Survey" on the UI site, the message "This selection does not apply to you." appears again. The situation remains the same.

To date, no response from the UI office. （ I guess they are quite busy. ）

Thank you for sharing. And thank you also for your always heartwarming messages.

It seems that the UI office changed its route midway through the process after the Federal Order came in, so if you applied for EB20 after December 29, Kapahulu, there is a good chance that your EB20 application will proceed.

It would be a real problem if the UI office would not accept the EB20 cancellation by any means on the grounds that it is a Federal Order and would not even take responsibility for its own Glitch issue regarding the Benefit Year End deadline. There are many people in the same situation, so I just strongly hope that in March the Biden administration will add an unemployment insurance program like the PEUC 11-week extension.

I will also talk to the Legal Aid organization in my capacity as community help here and ask them for their view on the situation that is happening between the Federal Order and the old system problems at the UI office. We will also attempt to report this to the federal government. If I get a response, I will let Kapahulu, Inquiry, and Maruko know immediately.

Thank you for your reassuring words.
In our case, the first full payment of PEUC ended on December 19, and the YEAR END deadline was December 29, so
we had no choice but to apply for EB20, which was considered the best as of December 29, by slipping in.
As I shared yesterday, when I talked to the UI OFFICE on the phone, everything
[FEDERAL ORDER] [HAVE TO OBEY FEDERAL] [STATE UI OFFICE CAN NOT CHANGE] etc
was all Federal's fault. I blamed it all on Federal.
The point that we are not convinced, if the 13 weeks of EB20 payment is completed by March 13, we can apply for PEUC2, but
if it is after that date, we cannot apply.
In the unlikely event that we are left with no other option but to accept EB20, all 13 weeks of our EB20 payment will end on March 20.
We told them that it is NOT FAIR because we will not be able to apply for PEUC2, but the UI OFFICE was still a [FEDERAL ORDER].
I think it would be fair to everyone if the total weeks of payment were to be the same for both EB20 and PEUC2 ？
as soon as March arrives （ and I hope ） to be able to apply for PEUC2 as soon as possible. I hope that FEDERAL will announce the best way to make it fair for everyone as a wishful thinking.

*When calling, ask the UI STAFF, "What is your name?" and ask for the name of the person in charge and confirm the name before you start talking （ We also ask for spelling to confirm. ） I feel that the response is somewhat different.

We greatly appreciate your work.
I posted in #778 that my cancellation was accepted.
I called the day before to reconfirm as I had not received the email and there was no evidence of cancellation and it was still EB20.
When I told them that the person who handled the cancellation was George on 1/19 and that his name was George, they were surprised that there was no one named George.
The person who answered the phone this time was Sue, but I wonder if Sue will be gone the next time I call.

It is the voice of one small individual, but I hope it reaches the media, state and federal.

Yesterday I received an email from Unemployment Insurance asking me to choose between PEUC 11 or EB20.

I went to the Unemployment Insurance site, logged in, selected either one, submitted, and received another confirmation email.

I am absolutely appalled at how lax the UI Office is.
If you check the time and date of your conversation with "Mr. George" on your smart phone, you should be able to find out who actually talked to you, Lily, by checking the call detail on your smart phone. I think the UI side should be able to find out who actually spoke to Lily by checking the CALL DETAIL on her smart phone, etc.
Because when I spoke to the UI OFFICE representative the other day, I asked him if this conversation was monitored ？ and he said it was recorded. I asked him if he had a record of the person who answered the phone as a representative of the UI OFFICE, whether or not Mr. George exists.

There are a lot of things that make me angry and things that I don't agree with, but let's keep an eye on the transition with the hope that it will be for the better.
If we choose either EB20 or PEUC2, the total weeks of payment should be the same for both, a system that could be fair to everyone.

Thank you for your report, and as Inquiry said, let's all remember that we, the UI Office and the Federal Government are all in a better place.

My team and I feel that if the UI office really can't change the arrangements because of the Federal Order, then we should make sure that the Federal Order is properly explained to all applicants. I also believe that the UI office should take some responsibility for the system problem.

Sunset Thank you for your always clear explanations, PEUC I have decided to wait for the 11 week extension.　I had a small WBA balance remaining, but I was able to file for 2 weeks on 1/23 and 1/30. So I thought I would be Pending until I could get an 11-week extension. When I checked my file today, it was Pending and the reason column showed Pending decision on your job separation. I had a normal WBA payment after being unemployed again after returning to work last year. I am not sure if it is because I did not have a sufficient balance to file ？ I do not understand what the reason is. What is the interpretation ？ I would appreciate it if you could tell me. Usually, this is the reason if the applicant was fired or voluntarily resigned and the employer labor reported it.

Pending decision on your job separation

First recheck with your employer how they labor reported （ Sometimes employers make simple mistakes in their input ） . If there is nothing wrong with the employer, check with the call center to see if it is due to glitch in the UI system. Recently there have been a number of Details displays that I don't remember, and they are caused by glitches.

Sunset, thank you for your prompt reply, I work part time for two different companies and have not voluntarily resigned, nor have I been "terminated" by either company as of today. I will check with both companies tomorrow and hopefully it is just a glitch in the UI system. Thank you for your time.

Check to see if the employer is reporting on the labor report by rounding up or rounding down.

It is most important that your weekly filing be consistent with the labor report from your employer.
