This is my first time posting in this topic.
I looked through everyone's applications and couldn't find anyone else in the same situation （ Sorry if I missed something ） but I have a question.

I used up my PEUC with my application due 12/19/2020 and applied for EB20 on 12/23/2020.
Then the PEUC extension was announced, and I have been trying to contact the UI office all week to cancel my EB20, but I can't get through.
I thought I was eligible to receive an email at the end of January, but I never received an email and I could not select the option within the UI website.
EB20 is supposed to have been applied for, PEUC is active （ balance 0 ） and the benefit has been used up, and I cannot do any of the operations on the homepage.
I have emailed them and they never respond, I have called them 100 times daily and they never connect.
Is it possible that I will never receive any money at all ？

There was a share about the cases that the call center will and will not handle.

（ 1 ） "Pending decision on job separation" indication in weekly filing
↓
They may or may not respond to changes.

Reason:
The Examiner is going to ask each applicant and employer the reason and circumstances of the termination, so you have to wait until you hear from the UI office.

If you are fired for something you do not remember, please ask your employer how you reported the termination, and ask your employer to correct the labor report if it is incorrect. You should also double-check your answers in the weekly filing to make sure they are correct. If your answers are incorrect, you can ask the call center to correct them.

（ 2 ） Overpayment

They do not handle processing.

Reason:
The flow of calls and letters from the UI office is such that you have to wait patiently. If the applicant calls the call center to inquire or urge, the waiting time will be extended because the "Examiner will reconfirm with the employer", so it is recommended not to contact the call center repeatedly.

（ 3 ） "When will the PEUC 11 week extension be in the system ？?" question

Reason:
As long as the UI office has not announced a specific date, the call center cannot answer （ Until the system is implemented, you will not be able to file weekly after you have exhausted your PEUC 13 week account balance ）.

（ 4 ） Cancellation of EB20 application

Reason:
Only those who received an email from the UI office about whether to choose PEUC 11-week extension or EB20 can cancel EB20 by choosing PEUC 11-week extension on the UI system （ The deadline for this application is now closed ）.

Reason:

Reason:
The process is to put a letter of correction request in the Drop Box addressed to the Department of Taxation The Drop Box is in the Honolulu UI office building. It would be good to include an explanation of the situation so that the Department of Taxation staff can easily read it and understand how it is wrong.

At that time, applicants of U.S. citizenship will be asked to provide bank account activity and credit card records as to whether or not they were really in Hawaii. Applicants who are Japanese or other foreign nationals tend to be asked to provide entry and exit records in their passports. If you are out of state for two weeks for job search purposes, you will receive unemployment insurance. Contact the call center for information on how to proceed.

If you are out of state for an extended period of time without a specific reason, unemployment insurance will not be granted for the period of your stay. We have heard of many cases where unemployment insurance is not processed easily after returning to Hawaii, perhaps because the federal government has made the screening process even more difficult. We recommend that people who really need unemployment insurance do not travel out of state frequently.

（ 14 ） They do not handle changes from "temporary termination to full termination", "temporary termination to shorter hours", etc

If you simply forgot to file, they will take care of it, but if you were out of state and have not filed for a long time, the UI office will check with you. If it is not accepted, it will not be backdated.

State Tax would cost more than $1,000 if you have been receiving unemployment insurance since March 2020 and did not set up Tax Withholding.
