日本からもってきた、ノートパソコン（Win98）に、アメリカで買った語学勉強用ソフトを入れると、フリーズしてしまって「〜〜の不正使用」と言うようなメッセージが出るときもある。使用できないのですが、これは、アメリカで買ったソフトは、日本から持ってきたパソコンでは、使えないと言う事でしょうか？
知っている方がいたら、教えてください。お願いします。

対応してないものであれば、見れないよ。リージョン変更できるものやフリーのものであればＯＫだけど。
アメリカのＤＶＤは日本で映画を公開するよりも先に出たりするから、映画公開前に広まるのを規制する目的でそういう仕組みがあったりしますねぇ。。もちろん、ちょっとした操作をすれば解除なんてできますが・・。

詳しくはわかりませんが、全部が全部そうではないのではないでしょうか。
僕のPCはアメリカのゲームも語学ソフトも普通にインストールして使用できています。ちなみにOSはME日本バージョンです。

白い門さん、残念だけど無理だね。例えばここで教えたとしても、まったく知識のない方が多数見ているはずなので、ちょっとした手違いで使用不能にすらなってしまうので。
