I haven't looked at the I-90 ApplicationStatus on the USCIS website for a while because there has been no movement at all, but after a long time I looked at it and it has been updated.

The USCIS representative said that the stamp on my passport will allow me to leave and enter from abroad.
I am planning to visit Japan next month and will use this Infopass if my card does not arrive by then.

I called USCIS on August 15, received an email two days later, and my appointment was on August 22.

Infopass appointments must be made by calling USCIS, but please say I need Infopass appointment first as the phone is automated.
No need to explain in detail. After that you will be told how long you have to wait. In my case, it was 53 minutes. Then you are finally connected to a person in charge.
I think the best time to call is just before the 12 month extension expires, but after it expires. I called 10 days after it expired.

After I called and requested an Infopass, I received an email from USCIS and they said they would get back to me in 30 days if it was not urgent, but since the 12 months had already expired, I immediately received an email for an appointment and I entered the required information on the web
Appointment Detail opens and there you will find the location and time of the appointment （ I am not in LA ）. Print this out and bring a valid passport, all letters from USCIS, driver's license and mask as proof of identity. You should not cancel on the day or time of this appointment. The day of the appointment was not crowded because all the people had appointments. There were few people, especially from Infopass, and most of them had other requirements. The interview with the person in charge took about 15 minutes and I successfully got the Infopass stamp on my passport.

The I-797 does mention ADIT.

It is true that the I-797 states ADIT (Alien Documentation Identification Telecommunications) stamp, but when the I-797 expires and needs to be extended again, as we do, Infopass is usually used. Infopass is usually used when I-797 has expired and needs to be extended again as we do.
＃ In your case, if you do not receive your renewal card by the expiration date in December, you should call USCIS just before or just after the expiration date to make an appointment. How to make an appointment has already been explained in ＃ 18.
