From my limited knowledge, LAX - NRT/HND flights are more expensive from June to September, and domestic flights are more expensive at the end of the year ・ New Year, the end of the fiscal year (around March 31 ）, GW, Obon vacations, etc.).

LAX - HND on May 9 ～ May 23 next year, I checked Delta, ANA and JAL (Code Share with AA) and found $ 801.23, $ 802.24 and $ 807.64. The prices are close to each other as if there was a backroom deal. Even for domestic flights in Japan, there are some cheap sales on flights 2 ～ 3 months in advance in places like Itami, Fukuoka, Sapporo, etc., away from the holidays. However, since the cheapest flights are those with the lowest demand time in a day, I don't think the time is suitable for connecting flights from here. LAX-HND flights May 4, 2019 (Sat) ～ If you put in May 12, 2019 (日), it's $1,470 on ANA and a whopping $1,697 on Delta.
