This is an earful for mothers who travel with infants, but if you must You must take your baby with you.

This article also said to get earplugs from the CA, but I don't like those earplugs. I can't stand the feeling of pressure in my earholes from the expansion. I can't stand the sensation of pressure in my ear canal. I have no problem getting used to that feeling of pressure after repeated use.

I decided to go with noise cancelling earphones as an alternative, but more on that next time.

The in-flight noise we have to listen to for 11 hours straight when we fly to Japan is quite a decibel, and this alone combined with the air pressure being 20% lower than on the ground can be quite exhausting. I was surprised when I put these earphones in my ears and turned them on for the first time. I felt as if my eardrums had suddenly lost their function. However, as time goes by, the in-flight noise, which has been greatly reduced, becomes a little less noticeable. Still, wearing the switch is totally different from not wearing it at all.

However, the effect is only for the continuous sound like the in-flight noise, and the cancellation effect is lower than the in-flight noise because the same sound waveform will not come again for the human voice and so on. Still, when the FA asks me if I want chicken or seafood, I immediately remove the earphones because I am not sure if I am sure of what I am being asked.
