Still foreign nationals from Japan like myself cannot go to Japan for sightseeing, but I have a feeling that Mr. Kishida is working on some things here and some good news will come out in the near future.

As usual, I tried to book a virtual trip on ANA from LAX to HND for 2 weeks in the middle of August. Then suddenly this posting appeared.

I contacted the Consulate General and found out that former Japanese nationals like myself are included in the "special reasons" category and can apply for the Temporary Visitor Visa I mentioned earlier. I am currently waiting for the document from Japan. I hope I can make it to Japan next month ・ ・ ・

I have nothing, so I'll be a "patient child" waiting for the day when I can go sightseeing.

I'm hoping to be there by this summer.


Also, if everyone can enter Japan, the NRT immigration checkpoint will be hell again, so

I think I will take the ANA flight arriving at HND at 5am as mentioned above. There should be no flights from

Southeast Asia at all at this time.

But this early morning is, for some reason, physically quite hard for me. But it's definitely advantageous not to stand in line
too long at the immigration checkpoint.
