会社倒産が確実になってきて近い将来失業しそうです。
子供もいます。
配偶者はパートで月収300ドルくらいで健康保険はありません。
失業手当だけでは食べていけないので他に政府から受けられる金銭的補助はありますか?
また、この状態だとメディケアという健康保険には入れますか?
仕事先が決まるまでの間、家族で食べていくために他に何をすればいいのでしょうか?
アメリカで20年以上働いている永住権保持者で10年くらいユニオンにも入っていました。
情報をよろしくお願いします。

皆様、いろいろな情報と励ましを有難うございます。
wic program、medi-cal、healthy familyの事を調べてみます。
子供(13歳)の健康保険が一番心配事でした。
ユニオンにも今日、申請書を送ります。

フードスタンプは貯蓄や家などの資産を持っているともらえないはずです。ある程度の価値のある車もそうです。つまり極貧でないと駄目。
ノンプロフィットがやっているフードパントリーというのがあちこちにあって、詳しくは分かりませんが行けば誰でもそこに寄付された食料品がもらえると思います。近頃はやはりレイオフされた方々が一時しのぎの為に利用するケースがすごく増えているそうです。
健康保険はＣＯＢＲＡというもので現在の保険が引き続き1年ぐらいカバーされるのではなかったでしょうか。この辺、どなたか詳しい方教えて差し上げてください。
