日本では成人＆中年になっても親元から離れず家に閉じこもっている「引きこもり」という人が増えているというニュースを耳にします。長年アメリカに住んでいると日本ほどではないですが、この国でもいい歳になっても仕事もせず部屋に閉じこもっている人がそこそこ存在することに気づきました。
私が知っているかぎりでは「長期間失業して就職する気力をなくした」「精神的な病気」「本来あまり社交的ではない」など原因は様々ですが、どこもどうやって解決していいかわからないと親御さんが途方にくれています。
皆さんの周りでは似たような話はありませんか？よければここで情報交換しませんか。

昔と違って引きこもりやニートでも、ユーチューブや投資で億稼いでいる人間が
数多くいるんだしそういう生き方も良いんじゃない。
貧乏な親の元で育つと必死こいて働くものです。
イラクやシリアには引き篭もりは皆無です。

ニートって、早い話が五体満足で自分で稼いでいない人の中で、就職活動をしていない人の事でしょう。
体にはどこも問題がないにもかかわらず（ここ大事ね）仕事もせず、就活もせず、福祉に頼った生活を続けたり、あるいは親のカネを食い潰して生きている人のことで、満足な収入のあるユーチューバーも在宅勤務も（なんで年収を知ってるのか？）ニートじゃない。
ただ、引きこもりではある。まして親が遺したカネを食い潰しながら一日中掲示板で憎まれ口をたたく人は、俺の頭の中じゃニートより悪い。
