In my case, I was charged a $250 creation fee for the 2022 tax return even though I had no income, no payments, and no refunds, so
I guess I wanted to pay the 2023 tax later and get the $250 creation fee for 2023.

If it's a large amount, you could roll over a portion and put it back into an IRA. If you retire, you can't deposit it into an IRA.
