When I renewed my passport in the past, when I got a new one,
I didn't say anything, just had the hole punched and returned it to the applicant.

When you renew your passport, you return the old passport. You are a fine Japanese and a Sumbalasooee.

I had to go downtown on March 4
so I returned all 4 or 5 passports I had so far. It was refreshing.
