最近サウスベイに越してきたばかりなのですが、この辺で芝生の上から直接打てるゴルフのドライビングレンジってありますか？数箇所行きましたがどこもマットの上からなんですよ。

ＬＡ近郊にある練習場って大抵マットの上から打つタイプですね。アメリカの多くのゴルフ場では芝生から打てるのに。ＯＣの方でまたに行く所は芝の上から打てますが、あまりそうした場所に巡り合えないです。近くにあるゴルフショップとかで聞けばもっと分かると思いますよ。

最近加入したSBC yahooDSLに関してです。
接続その他はうまくいったのですが、OUT LOOK EXPRESSで受信しようと設定しましたが、うまくできません。
すべての設定はうまくできていると思いますが、「送受信」ボタンを押した後ユーザーネームとパスワードを入れる画面が出てきて、正しく入れた後に「OK」をクリックするのですが、すぐに同じ画面が出てきてしまい、つながりません。
サポートセンターに問い合わせて、やりましたが自分でやっていたのと同じやり方で、同じところでつまづきました。
「日本語のOUTLOOKだからマイクロソフトに直接問い合わせて聞いたほうがいい」といわれてしまいました。
同じ経験をしたかた、すぐにうまく設定できた方アドバイスください！！
お願いいたします。

ユーザーネームとパスワードを入れる画面が出てきたら、username@sbcglobal.netまで入力してますか？

私もsbcです。
で、メール設定ですがpop.sbcglobal.net
smtp.sbcglobal.net
だと思います。
現に私の設定がそうですから。
一度試してみてください。

#5 の情報は無視してください。今日になったら受信は出来るが送信が出来なくなってしまいました。なぜそうなったのか分かりません。
to japan さんの SBC DSL アカウントは PPPoE 接続ですか？ またルーターを介して使ってますか？

How to set up Outlook Express, Outlook, Netscape, and Eudora
を選ぶと図解入りの指示が出ます。それにそって設定すると完了します。
これで送受信ともバッチリできるようになりました。

おかげで原因がわかりました。
ユーザーネームのところにホストネーム入力していませんでした。
今は受信もできるようになり感謝しております。

SUVは州によるよー。
他の州にいる友達がＳＵＶはあまり人気がないっていってたし。
カメラやメール機能の携帯はそのうちはやるとおもうよ。

でもＳＵＶは基本的に人気じゃないかなぁ、アメリカでは。広いからね、大きい車に乗る人は多いと思うよ。流石に日本じゃ乗れないでしょ？この前なんかの雑誌でちらっとみたんだけど、渋谷の繁華街にＨＵＭＭＥＲのＨ2に乗ってた奴がいたけど、すっごい馬鹿だよね。そうそう、あとカリフォルニアだったらコンバ−タブルの車も人気じゃない？

カメラ付きの携帯持ってる人いっぱいいるよ。もちろん日本人だけじゃないし。私的には電話より、メールの方が使ってて楽しい。英語も、Word機能が付いてて打つの超楽だしね。

インターネット関係の質問です。
現在２台でつかっています。今度３台使いたいので ethernet hubというのを使えば３台目もhook upできると思うのですが、指定のhubってあるんでしょうか？
以前プロバイダーに聞いた所、間違ったinfoを教えられたので、逆にこちらの方が間違いないかなと思いました。
つかっているラウターはhttp://www.2wire.com/home/hp_index.htmlです。

Ethernet とは世界共通の規格ですから、どのメーカーの Ethernet Hub でも使えます。10/100BaseT Switch 4-Port モデルなら２０ドルくらいで売ってます。

#1で、すでにNATラウターの機能を持ったラウターを使用していることが書かれていますので、彼に必要なのはハブかスイッチです。
家庭用のNATラウターではEthernetポートが複数ついた製品（要するにスイッチつきラウター）が広く出回っていますけれども、ラウターとスイッチは別機能ですからラウターを導入する方がスイッチより良いという比較はできません。
