I was living in Los Angeles about two years ago, and at that time, I had to return to Japan urgently due to Corona, and I moved out of my apartment at that time, but I recently realized that I forgot to receive the deposit. ？ I would appreciate it if someone who is familiar with California law could help me.

I have completed the seismic work on my apartment
and
to get the tenants of the apartment to pay their fair share of the cost of the seismic work it seems that if I don't contact them soon, it will be invalidated.

Sometimes there are people who say this. People who unilaterally pull out because it's an emergency for their own reasons without issuing a notice and then claim they don't get a refund.
Do you understand contracts ？ I don't have a reply but 、、、、

Sometimes tenants mistakenly think that Deposit is taken for damage or cleaning, but it's not.
Security Deposit is used as compensation in case of breakage, noncleaning, nonpayment of rent, default or breach of contract.

As I recall, legally you are allowed 5 years ！
I just recently contacted them to get my deposit back for an apartment I moved out of 3 years ago, and they told me to come pick it up this week ^_^.

An acquaintance of mine lives in an apartment building where three years after the earthquake-proofing work was completed,
the cost of the earthquake-proofing work was charged to each tenant, but
since it was not charged within one year, it was voided and the owner had to pay the entire amount.

Hi, I would like to start working as an Uber driver to fill my free time, but no insurance company I have called will take care of it. I am wondering if it is possible to get an Uber job with a regular insurance policy ？ Thank you.

Have you discussed with Uber regarding insurance, etc. ？ The Uber website below states that when you are working for Uber, the insurance provided by Uber will cover accidents.
https://www.uber.com/us/en/drive/insurance/
I would suggest that you first refer to the article on the above site and ask Uber to clarify the details when you sign the contract with them.

Note that regular insurance won't cover you if you get into an accident while working for Uber.
