Vivinavi Los Angelesライセンスプレート発行の手続き

5月に米車系カーディーラーで中古車を買いました。
その時には仮の紙プレートが付いた状態で車を受け取ったのですが、
その後、一向に正式なメタルプレートが郵送されてこないので困ってます。
DMVに問い合わせた所、トランスファーフィーの記録はあるが、トランスファードキュメント関連の記録はありません。
ディーラーに問い合わせてみてください、ということでした。
(その前に何度かディーラーに問い合わせたんですが、プレートの発行には数ヶ月かかるって言い訳で軽くかわされてました)
これってディーラーがちゃんと仕事してなかっただけで、ディーラーに催促すれば良いんでしょうか？
それともライセンスプレートの申請は車の購入と別にDMVに手続きがいるんでしょうか？
アメリカに来たばかりで車買ったのも初めてなんで、手続きとか流れがよく分かってません。
どなたか詳しい方、経験ある方は教えてください。

通常ですと、早ければ2週間、遅くても6週間ほどで届くはずです。カスタムなプレートだと数か月かかる場合もあるようです。

中古車で紙のプレート自体あり得んと思うが
もち自分の名前の印刷された書類もらってんだよね
でその書類と紙のプレートに有効期限が書いてあっしょ
それ切れるまではいいんじゃね？
