年末、日本に里帰りをしようかと考えています。日本での買い物はほとんどこちらのクレジットカード払いにするつもりですが、日本はまだまだ現金払いのみってところも多いですよね？
アメリカの銀行で円に変えてもらって現金化トラベラーズチェックでもっていくほうが安いのか、ドルをもって日本で円にしてもらうほうが安いのでしょうか？
ちなみにシティーバンクの口座は手数料や残高制限があるため断念しました。その他いい方法があれば教えてください。

アメリカ系の銀行は円ドルの変換率が悪いですよ。それより日系の銀行と違って円建ての TC を持っていないでしょう。AAA の会員らそこのオフィスでも円建て TC は作ってくれるでしょう。
私の経験からアメリカでの円変換はどちらにしても率が悪いです。金額にも寄りますが、私はこちらでドルの現金か TC を作って日本の飛行場に着いた時点で、勧銀等の窓口がありますから、そこで円にしています。
しかしカードでの支払いが変換率は一番いいようです。
