Vivinavi Los Angelesすいか幼稚園閉園のお知らせ

今はシリコンバレーに転勤となりましたが、うちの子供2人がTorrance時代にお世話になったすいか幼稚園が7月いっぱいをもって閉園されるそうです。
駐在員の減少により生徒不足となり経営不振に陥ったそうです。
突然の閉園で驚いておりますが、お世話になった先生方にはお礼を申し上げます。
ありがとうございました。

本当に残念ですよね。
すいか幼稚園は常にwaiting listがあり入園まで1ー2年待ちはザラでしたので、経営難というのは信じがたいですね。私が聞いた話では、キャンパスを隣接するチャーチからリースしていたのが、チャーチがもうプリスクールを辞めることにしたと聞きました。
近隣のプリスクールには入園希望者が殺到しているそうです。
幸いトーランスには日系も米系もプリスクールが多いので、皆さん受け入れ先が見つかるといいですね。

City (County) of Los Angeles に限るかどうかは知りませんが、私営の幼稚園なりプリスクールに行っていた児童は小学一年生の時 LAUSD の Highly Gifted も含め Magnet School に入れません。LAUSD のキンダーに通わないとその子の成績の査定ができないからだそうです。
うちのせがれはそのため小学三年生から高校まである Magnet School に入れました。
ずいぶん前の情報なので今はシステムが変わっているかも知れませんが。

すいか幼稚園からのアナウンスメントは何も出ていないのでしょうか。
チャーチがプリスクールを辞めることにしたのなら
場所を変えて運営すると思いますが

うちの子供もすいか保育園育ちなので、すいか保育園がなくなるのはとても寂しいです。
保母さんたちも良い方ばかりで、慣れない環境と育児で私自身もとてもお世話になりました。
閉園は本当に残念です。。。

教会から閉園を通達されたのが5月らしいので、多分いろいろ追いついていないのだと思います。
