この21日月曜にロサンジェルスでも部分日食が見られます。
以前ロスでも見れたのは1979年だとか。そんな昔だったか。
部分食： 62.23%
開始： 09:05
ピーク： 10:21
終了： 11:44
西海岸で皆既日食を見られるのはシアトル近辺だそうですね。
正確には Salem, OR
皆さんのお子さんの学校でもいろいろな方法で子供たちに観測させるんでしょう。
フィルターなしでの直視は絶対避けてください。目に永久的な
ダメージが残りますから。普通のサングラスも X です。

ロサンゼルスエリアでは午前中は雲が邪魔して皆既日食を見るのは厳しいのでは。

我がバレーは City of Los Angeles 地域ですが内陸なので
今日も午前9時頃から陽がさして来ています。
午前中 Marine Layer が覆う地域は夏でも涼しいですが、
こういうときは不利でしょうね。

日食では、木の下に行って、木漏れ日の形を観察しましょう。
部分日食なら、三日月の木漏れ日がみえるはず。
かぜにゆれる 三日月の木漏れ日、なんだかすてき。

今午前9時半ですが、当地は微かに薄い雲がかかっていますが、
太陽ははっきり顔を出しています。
もう欠け始めているはずですが、この時点では全然それが分かりません。
最大の62%欠けても日食があると意識していなかったら暗くなったことが
全然分かりません。
多分明るさの量としては 1/3 も減ったと感じないはずです。
5年前だったか、日本へ旅行に行ったときに日本で部分日食があり
東京では曇っていたのですが、雲が動いており薄くなる手前あたりで
雲がフィルターになり肉眼で欠けた太陽がよく見えました。
