当方中学生レベルの英語力で主人の転勤についてきてしまいました。あと半年くらいなんですが、やっぱりもう少ししゃべれるようになりたいなぁと思い、ESLに行ったのですがそこは学校関係者の奥様が30名くらい、皆ほぼ完璧に話せて、あるトピックについて討論するといった感じで全くついていけませんでした。
私のような中学生レベルの人でも相手にしてくれる教室もしくはESLをご存じないですか？当方パサデナ在住です。

懐に余裕があるのでしたら、Berlitzはどうでしょう？1クラスが少人数制でレベルわけもされているので良いかと。
Pasadenaにもあると思います。

Pasadena City Collegeのアダルトスクール部門とでも言えばいいのかな、Community Education CenterのESLはどうでしょうか？確か無料だったはずです。

ロングビーチでＥＳＬの学校はありますか？一度近くのアダルトスクールを覗いてみたのですが、治安的にどうなのかわからず、場所があまりいいあたりでは無い気がしています。どこかいいところをご存知の方いらっしゃいましたら、教えてください。

皆様いろいろな情報ありがとうございます。
当方も並行して、周辺大学のESL、教会の教室など探していますが、なかなかメールで問い合わせても返事が来ず、困ってます。電話できたらいいんですけど、会話が・・・（涙）。
PCCの方も今コンタクト取ってます。無料でなかなかいいらしいのですが、手続きが少々ややこしいのと次のタームに間にあうのかと厳しいところです。それもまた返事が全然こないんですけどね・・・。
Berlitzも見てきました。スタッフも親切でよかったんですが、懐に余裕がないもんで・・・。
どうも皆様ありがとうございます。
