I was just looking into this as I will be using the bus more often myself.

The Month Cap, as you understand it, is that once you have ridden $ 80 minutes in a given month, the rest of the month is free.
So if you are not sure if you will use $ 80 in that month, you can just use a regular Holo card.

I thought about the advantage of Month Pass, but I thought it might be to avoid charging my Holo card a little bit if I am sure to use $ 80 in a month.
However, it seems that you can set up automatic recharge, so it might save such a hassle.

I was also thinking about this last night, and I thought that if I use my HOLO card, the Month Cap would automatically be charged ＄ after 80, but I interpreted it to mean that the Month Pass is convenient for those who do not have a HOLO card and plan to ride a lot during the month. I myself used to buy ＄ 80 Pass, but there were months when I didn't know if I would use it or not, so
now I deposit every time I use it.

Once I reach ＄ 7.50 per day, there will be no further charges, and ＄ once I reach 80, there will be
no further charges.

To begin with, you cannot purchase a Monthly Pass without a Holo Card.
