はじめまして。
昨年2013年10月にオアフに移住してきました。
家族4人で、主人はまだ日本で仕事がある為移住しておらず、私と子供2人が先に移住しました。
殆ど英語が話せない為、手探りで生活をしている状態です。
子供は17歳（高校生）と14歳（中学生）です。公立の学校に通っております。
仕事も始め保険を付けてもらったのですが、やはり噂通り非常に高く
手取りが殆どない状態になってしまっています。
今現在HMAAで私と子供2人分をHMAAで払っていますが、子供の分は自己負担のようでかなり高額です。
そこで、まだママ友と呼べる方とも知り合いが1人もいなくて、こちらに相談しました。
子供は学校に学校用の保険があると、今日知り合いの方に聞きました（知り合いの方はお子さんがいないのでわからないそうです・・）
子供は〇歳まで保険をかける義務?があるそうで、どこの家庭もお子さんの保険はかなり高額なので、学校の保険に入ってるそうですよと。
・学校の保険とは存在するのでしょうか?（どこの学校でも）
・また、月どれくらいの掛け金になるのでしょうか?
・一番重要なのは、大抵の病院で使える保険なのでしょうか?
出来れば、日本人医師の病院にかかりたいと希望しているのですが・・
・その保険の種類とは、何になるのでしょうか?
（例えば医療機関を見ても、各種保険適応 HMAA/HMSA/KAISER等と書いているのですが
病院に確認する際に学校の保険名を言って使えるのかどうかを知りたいのです・・）
本当にわからない事だらけで、大変申し訳ないのですが
どなた様か教えていただけると大変助かります。

学校の保険というより州の保険ではないでしょうか?
オバマケアでいろいろ変わってきているようですが、
ハワイ州にはＱＵＥＳＴとという
州の保険があり、年収制限がありますが
今だんなさまが日本におられて、アメリカでの収入が限られてる場合子さんなどが入れる保険です。
病院の受け入れ先が限られてきたりするそうですが、
ほとんど大きい病院だと受け入れてくれるでしょう
