Vivinavi Los Angelesセメスター制とクォーター制の違い

私、来年の秋にトランスファーを考えている、学生です。学校によって、セメスターとクォーター制と違ってきますが、周りにいる友達はクォーター制の方が卒業が早いと言われました。でも、ここで疑問なんですが、１セメスターに４つクラスをとったとして、一年（２セメ）で８クラスとったことになります。反対に、１クォーターに４つクラスをとったら、一年（４クォーター）で１６クラスとったことになるんですかね！？だとしたら、クォーター制の一年は、セメスターの二年分なんでしょうか？そんなわけないと思ったので、ここに掲示させていただきました。どなたか、クォーター制の大学に行っている方、クォーター制について教えて下さい。よろしくお願いします。

最近のアメリカの大学は、QuarterからSemesterに切り換えているのが多いです。そのConversionの計算方法です。
Quarter Hours X ２/３ がSemesterとしてのCredit Hours になります。 たとへば、QUARTERで１２単位なら、Semester では８単位です。もし計算上に端数があるときはたぶん、切り捨てだと思いますが。これは確実ではありません。SemesterのtuitionはQuarterより１単位としては高いですが、そのぶん単位の数がすくないですよね。それと１６週ですよね。 Quarterは１２週です。 卒業については、たとへば最低でもSemester１２０単位だとすると、Quarter では１８０単位とらないと卒業はできません。Quarter だからといって早く卒業できるとはかぎりません。条件的にはほぼ同じです。お役に立ちますでしょうか？
