There are some Japanese real estate agencies, but I don't recommend them. I had a bad experience.
I looked at a lot of Google reviews too, but you never know until you actually live there. There are always people who write bad things, and on the other hand, I doubt that they write only good things. The apartment I actually live in now doesn't have good reviews but the living comfort is ok. With houses, it depends tremendously on what kind of person the owner is. If you decide on the area you want to live in and actually go around, I would recommend going directly to the places that are having open houses to see them in person because they are putting up balloons. You can see rooms that have not yet been put on Zillow, etc. Be aware that many of the buildings are old, even if they look beautiful at a glance.

It would be nice if you could start out in baking, but even if not

there are many things you can learn if you work in a bakery.

I joined the family in the summer of 2022, received my marriage certificate and immediately started the application process.
Eleven months later, my green card and work permit arrived at my house at the same time.
We were also supposed to receive our travel permits after fingerprinting, but we still have not received them.
We were also asked for additional documents due to incomplete paperwork （ That was a mistake on their part and there was no incomplete paperwork, but our lawyer provided us with documents to that effect ） so the process stopped there for about 2 months.
If nothing like that happened, we could get it within 6 months to a year ？.

We were US citizens ourselves and the wife's was F1.
We joined last March and applied straight away and finally received our EAD card and AP in November.

By the way, I got the interview notice right after that. I finished the interview last week and now I am waiting for the result.
Later we didn't go through a lawyer, so I hope it comes soon for Topi's side.

This couple seems to be adjusting their income by saving the husband from his part-time pizza delivery job once the wife starts working full time.
