この間３週間ばかり車に乗ることなく過ごしていた（旅行に行っていた）んですが久々にエンジンをつけるとかかりませんでした。キーを回すとガッガッという音だけでした。そこでＡＡＡを呼んでバッテリーチャージをしてもらうと一瞬でエンジンがかかり、そのまま快適ドライブができました。
３週間とかでこういう状態になるものですか？またみなさんはどうやってこういうとき維持するのでしょうか。ぜひいろいろ情報をください。
ちなみに自分のは旧型トヨタカムリで２週間とかは今まで結構おいたままにしたりしてたのですが、今回のようなことは初めてだったのでびっくりしてしまいました。

バッテリーが寿命に近づいているかもしれませんね。
バッテリーが古くなると、自然放電のスピードが早くなり、蓄電量も減ってきます。最近の寒さも関係してるかも。昨日まで順調だったものが、今日突然死ぬこともあるのでご注意を。
とりあえず対策としてはジャンプケーブルを車に常備。旅行から帰って来たら、とりあえずエンジンをかけてみましょう。仰せの通り、一回エンジンがかかればまず大丈夫。放電がひどくてエンジンがかからなければ、ご近所さんにでもお願いしてつないでもらいましょう。しかしバッテリーが完全に死んでいるようだと、１度つないでエンジンがかかっても蓄電能力も死んでいるので、都度つながなければなりません、というかバッテリー交換が必要です。
バッテリーあがりが頻繁に起こるようであれば、早めにバッテリーの交換をお奨めします。

長期乗らない場合は、バッテリーのマイナス端子を、レンチで緩めて取り外しておくと良いですよ。
そうすればバッテリーはかなり長持ちします。
今回つなぎっぱなしで3週間は、バッテリーが上がってもしょうがないと思います。

なるほど。ありがとうございます、うんせらさんとstealthさん。例えば毎週でもエンジンを５分くらい暖気程度にでもかけた方がいいんですかね？
また購入する場合、値段はどのくらいするのでしょうか。
確かに中古車を買ったんですが、バッテリーもかなり古そうです。ただ３週間ってやっぱりやばいんですねぇ。気をつけます！！
