いっつもきになっているんですけど、ＣＭで１−３１０−モーテルっとか宣伝してるじゃないですか？
それみて、でもこれじゃー電話番号わかんなにのに・・って思うんですよ。
結構そういうのありますよね？知人に聞いたら、モーテルの例だとMOTELの「Ｍ」と字が書いてある電話機の数字（数字のところに文字が３つぐらい書いてある）これをさしているというんですよ。ほんとかな？
そうすれば、だいたいの電話番号が見ている人にわかるんだ！と言います。
ああいった、番号って何番をさしているのでしょう？自分で調べてね？ってことなのかなぁ？？

ぽふさんの知人のいうとおり電話のボタンの文字をさしていますよ。CMは基本的に番号をおぼえやすくするために単語にしています。日本でいうと電話番号の語呂あわせみたいな感じですね。
