I know this is probably old news, but the Airbus A380 double-decker airliner has been discontinued after only 15 years.

One of the main reasons was that the "Hub and Spoke" method, in which more passengers are transported from one small airport to another large airport by a super large aircraft, like a bicycle wheel, and from there they are dispersed to many small airports, was expected to become the mainstream method. However, in the U.S., which has the largest number of passenger aircraft in the world, the "point to point system" was considered more suitable than such a system of concentrating aircraft in one place, and Boeing was focusing on this system. Boeing was also focusing on this method.

For these reasons, the Airbus double-decker A380 was retired early. However, as mentioned here, the lifespan of a passenger plane is about 30 years, so the A380s already flying, including ANA's Flying Honu, will continue to fly.

I have flown Airbus A380 twice.

The first time was on Singapore Airlines LAX - NRT - SIN (SQ011/SQ012) and
The second time was on Korean Air LAX - ICN (-NRT) (KE12/KE11).

SQ now uses B777s, perhaps because demand has decreased considerably, and
Korean Air no longer offers direct flights to Japan, so I took a
A380 to Inchon, waited 3 or 4 hours, and came to Narita on an old-looking B777 or something like that.
But now they use the old KE12/KE11 for LAX-ICN.

TBIT \{Tom Bradley International Terminal}

We tend to use TBIT at the far end of LAX, but it is currently under construction and each terminal is unusually crowded.

There was a TV news report a few days ago about restrictions on cabs or shared rides such as Uber, but I was too busy with other things to hear the details.

I've been taking the FlyAway Bus out of Van Nuys for decades, so I didn't pay much attention to the recent regulatory changes. I also overheard that a streetcar shuttle like train is under construction. If anyone is familiar with this, please let me know what is going on.
