And I've never forgotten to take a tag off of a piece of clothing. If the cashier forgot to take off the security plastic, that would set off the alarm on the way out then. Then I can understand why the alarm went off.

I have had alarms go off when I buy steak and expensive cosmetics. I don't know if they always check me every time I buy these things, but when the alarm goes off, I tell them I bought a steak and lightly show them what is in my bag, and they say, "Oh, really? Not only in Donki, but in any store. I thought it was pretty well known.
You don't have to get all pissy and react like "I'll show you everything if you want".
You don't have to react to every single one of them like "Oh my god, it's gone. I wonder what she was reacting to.
The person who is stealing reacts to it, so the checkers seem to be able to tell.

Donki has an alarm that goes off at the exit if you purchase Wagyu beef meat.
