Also, I have lived in Hawaii for almost 10 years now and have little trouble making a living, but with the rising cost of living, I am very concerned about my vague future and not being financially independent. I went to ELS to register, but they are full and said the next class will probably be in November or December.

I will be returning to Japan for the first time with my child, who is from Hawaii and has both a Japanese and an American passport, but I was wondering if I should use my Japanese name (my family name) or my American name (my husband's family name) when booking a ticket for my child.
I understood that I need to use my US passport for entering and leaving the US and my Japanese passport for entering and leaving Japan, but I was not sure which name I should use to book my ticket.

I was wondering if anyone has recently exchanged their JR Pass at JR East Ekitabi Concierge Airport Terminal 2 around 6pm at Narita Airport, and could you tell me how crowded it was ？ How long did it take from the time you started waiting in line until you were able to exchange your pass at the counter? ？
Last year, before the price increase, it took 1.5 hours, so I am wondering how it is nowadays.
