When I visited Japan, I had to go to the Pension Service office and stopped by the local ward office to find out the address,

I was asked "Are you now a US citizen?

I answered "Yes" and was told that my Japanese address registration would be invalidated

I think I went through the process to cancel my Japanese citizenship there. Maybe they put a hole in my VOID at that time.

Then I went to the Japan National Pension Service office and gave them my bank information again, so

I am still receiving automatic wire transfers to this bank every other month.


Also, before every birthday, I receive a letter from the Japan National Pension Service office asking for proof that the person is still alive

I have a copy of my LADWP （ Los Angeles Department of Water&Power) bill. Power) bill and send it back with a copy of the bill.
