●All entrants to Japan, including Japanese returnees, are already required to submit proof of inspection prior to departure, and as of April 19, the verification of inspection proof in quarantine will be made even stricter.
●Although the use of any format will not be prevented in the future, the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare (MHLW) recommends that visitors to Japan obtain inspection certificates using the format specified by the Ministry.

・ With regard to the pre-departure inspection certificate required for all entrants, including Japanese returnees, there have been various problems and confusion over the validity of the inspection certificate in boarding procedures at departure and in quarantine upon entry into Japan.

・ In order to avoid such problems, the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare (MHLW) recommends that visitors to Japan obtain a pre-departure inspection certificate using the format specified by the Ministry in the future, when the confirmation of the pre-departure inspection certificate in quarantine at the time of entry into Japan will be tightened.
